ORYXE® LED has passed three separate TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environmental Quality)-sanctioned emissions performance tests demonstrating the necessary emissions reductions for the Texas Low Emission Diesel (TxLED) market.
TxLED Alternative Plan Test
During the first test, EPA compliant diesel fuel treated with ORYXE LED was tested at the internationally-recognized West Virginia University National Research Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines and Emissions, which found significant reductions in emissions of carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen and total hydrocarbons compared to untreated EPA compliant diesel. The testing conformed with federal test procedures (specified in CFR Part 86) according to a protocol established by the TCEQ (contained in the Houston-Galveston SIP).
TxLED Alternative Formulation Test
ORYXE Energy passed two Texas Alternative Diesel Formulation tests further demonstrating the ability of ORYXE LED to significantly improve diesel fuel emissions. In both tests, data shows that a high aromatics, ultra low sulfur candidate diesel fuel treated with ORYXE LED additive produces an equivalent or better emissions profile than a low aromatics, ultra low sulfur TxLED reference fuel (untreated) for the following emissions: Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Total Hydrocarbons (THC), Non-Methane Hydrocarbons (NMHC), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Particulate Matter (PM). The tests were conducted at West Virginia University National Research Center for Alternative Fuels, Engines, and Emissions Laboratory, following the TCEQ’s new robust testing compliance procedure that includes onsite test supervision by TCEQ personnel. The testing conformed with 30 TAC §114.315(c) of the TCEQ regulations.
No Harms Test
ORYXE LED has successfully passed no harms testing at an independent third party test lab and is registered with the EPA (registration number 192220005). |
